Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Home Health)
Location: Alameda, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Team Nurse delivers direct patient care services as assigned by the Primary Care Clinician and approved by the Clinical Manager. Responsibilities include:
- Implementing physician plans of care
- Obtaining physician orders
- Supervising home health aides
- Coordinating care within an interdisciplinary team
- Participating in utilization management and control of patient supplies
- Providing age-appropriate care considering developmental, psychosocial, environmental, educational, and communication needs
- Ensuring care follows professional standards and agency protocols
Certification Requirements
- California Registered Nurse (CA RN) license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Work Schedule & Conditions
- On-call as needed
- No floating
- No weekends
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse

- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
Certifications (Additional as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP only, must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course
- CCRN, TNCC, EFM, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on position specifics (verify with recruiter)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (11/1 - 4/30) or signed declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start
Facility Specific Documents & Training
- Must review and sign facility-specific documents including:
- Job description
- Standards of Business Conduct
- Conditional Offer of Employment Attestation
- General Regulatory Orientation for Contracted Workers
- Vendor Training (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
- Code of Conduct (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
- Overpayment Refund Policy (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
- Request for Religious Accommodation Form (if applicable)
- TB Screening Questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Epic Questionnaire (RN only, required for new candidates starting 11/3/2025 and onward)
Employment History & Verification
