Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department/Trauma is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for primarily adult patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires competency in delivering care specific to the ED/Trauma patient population.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (minimum)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) participating state
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Trauma Nurse Course Certification (TNCC)
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Experience

  • Clinical competence and experience in care and management of ED/Trauma patient populations
  • Years of experience in specialty: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1 year based on typical ED/Trauma RN requirements
