Job Opportunity: RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Unit & Facility Overview

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the 4th floor
• 22 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1
• Patient population: Adult cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, cardioversions
• Equipment: Telemetry
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Paragon
• Shift: PM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend
• Call requirements: None
• Float requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license for North Carolina
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac specialty nursing
• Step-down/ICU experience required

Additional Information

• Team-oriented environment with emphasis on good communication skills and flexibility
• Dress code: Navy scrubs; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops are not acceptable
• Orientation is bi-weekly with upcoming start dates available
