Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (interpreted as 26 weeks)

Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Certifications Required:
- CT Certification
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) Certification
- R.T. ARRT (R) OR ARRT (CT) OR NMTCB(CT) & NMT Cert (ARRT (N) or NMTCB)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in Nuclear Medicine
- Prior Travel Experience:
- First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)
- Work Schedule:
- Every 3rd weekend required
- No on-call duties
- Floating to the main hospital as needed (connected by pedestrian bridge)
- No block scheduling
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with a range of exams from diagnostic to therapeutic Nuclear Medicine studies
- EPIC charting system experience
- Familiarity with GE and Philips Nuclear Medicine Cameras
- Dress Code:
- Black scrubs required
Licensure
- May submit application with a pending New Jersey license
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- New Jersey Department of Treasury Exclusions List check within 30 days of start and for extensions
- Health & Safety:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as per facility requirements
- Physical exam within the last 12 months, cleared to perform essential job functions and free of communicable disease
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel urine drug screen)
- Seasonal influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
- Fit test and respiratory medical clearance prior to start (on-site fit testing mandatory)
- Latex allergy questionnaire if applicable
- Color blindness exam if job tasks require color discrimination
- Competency Exams:
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 72 hours of signing, valid within 12 months
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for applicable units
- Pass/fail testing for EKG and medication knowledge with remediation process
- References & Work History:
- Two references within the last 2 years (one managerial)
- Employment application or resume with 7 years of work history
- Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start)
- Additional Certifications (if applicable):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred but not explicitly required for this role
- Other certifications such as NRP, PALS, Chemo certification, and stroke/trauma CEUs may be required depending on specific assignments or units

- Must complete facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments prior to start
