Radiation Therapy Job Opportunity
Location: Bangor, Maine
Specialty: Radiation Oncology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule Options:
- 5 days per week, 8 hours each
- OR 4 days per week, 9 hours each with 1 half day on the 5th shift
- No weekends or on-call required
- Holiday coverage: Rotated among techs
- Schedule: 4-week schedules, shift specifics vary based on need
- Orientation: 1 to 1.5 weeks, depending on experience and comfort level
- Floating: As needed, covering linacs
Facility & Equipment
- Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center
- 411 beds
- Three Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators (Linacs)
- 1 Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator
- EMR system: Mosaiq
- Patient care areas: Outpatient and Inpatient
- Patient population: Primarily adult/geriatric, very few pediatrics
- Average patients seen per day: 90 across three linacs
Licensure & Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (T) certification required
- Maine State Radiation Therapy license
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Oncology experience preferred (higher value from data)
- Experience with Mosaiq and/or Varian equipment preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Prior travel experience is NOT required

This position is suitable for Radiation Therapists with at least 1 year of experience, preferably familiar with Mosaiq and Varian TrueBeam systems, looking for a 13-week contract in a Level II Trauma Center environment with no weekend or call responsibilities.
