Job Opportunity: Interim Nurse Manager - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Specialty

Leadership in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
Level III NICU experience required

Required Experience

Previous Interim Leadership experience: at least 1 completed assignment, ideally 2
NICU experience in a Level III or IV setting
EPIC EMR experience
Experience mentoring leaders
Ability to lead and demonstrate resiliency through departmental change

Additional Requirements

Limited time off before late April to meet department coverage needs
Travel home allowed but must be less frequent than every weekend
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must provide work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and at least 1 supervisory reference at time of submission

Department Information

42 beds, Level III NICU
Patient population: neonates from >22 weeks to ~46 weeks
Approximately 5200 deliveries last year
Drips administered include epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine

Note: This is an interim leadership role with potential for permanent placement. The nursing workforce is unionized.
