Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Required Experience

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required prior to start; must be updated if break in service ≥ 2 months
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
  • Transcript/Diploma verification required
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed ASAP (no pending fingerprints allowed at start)
  • I9/E-Verify attestation required

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved masks listed)
  • Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
  • TB questionnaire if history of positive TB test
  • Immunization or titer proof for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted

Orientation & Training

  • Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser
  • HIPAA acknowledgment form required; updated annually
  • Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; updated annually
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required; updated annually
  • Badge photo required prior to start; badge must be on file for clearance

Employment History & References

  • Application must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and similar specialty area
  • Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
