Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Alamosa, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Job Description
- Work Schedule:
- Initial: Thursday-Sunday
- Thursday/Friday: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Saturday/Sunday: 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM (will call help)
- After FT maternity leave starts (April):
- Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM (with call)
- Monday/Tuesday: 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Wednesday/Thursday: 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Position: CT Tech / X-ray Tech Combo Role
- Daily Caseload: 35-50 cases per tech
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs and to a nearby sister facility (15 minutes away)
- Block Schedule Accommodation: Yes (Monday-Friday)
- Locals Accepted: Yes (no local radius rule)
- Weekend Requirement: Not regular schedule but potential for call
- On-call Requirement: Yes
Experience & Certification Requirements
- Specialty: CT Tech with X-ray experience
- Years of Experience Required:
- Minimum 1 year experience overall
- At least 6 months experience specifically in Computerized Tomography (CT)
- Certification:
- CT certification (ARRT required)
- X-ray experience required

Facility & Unit Information
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
- Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center
- Unit Description:
- Busy Level III trauma center
- Performs all CT exams except a few select ones (Cardiac CT coming soon)
- X-ray includes diagnostic, fluoroscopy, and surgery cases
- High volume in OR with ortho and pain management cases
- Breast radiologist available Mondays and Tuesdays
- Interventional radiologist available Thursdays and Fridays
- Charting System: Meditech
- Parking: Free with pass from HR
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Background Check: Must be completed within 90 days of start and updated annually
- State License: Required (no pending licenses accepted)
- RTO (Return to Office) Restrictions: Must be presented upfront for approval
- Health Documents Required:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years
- Negative TB test (T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold) within 45 days of start; PPD not accepted
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel with chain of custody within 30 days of start
- Flu seasonal vaccination during flu season (no declinations)
- Competency Exams: Required for all travelers (minimum 80% score)
- State Specific: Colorado CAPS check results required prior to start
