Job Description

Seeking an RN Educator for the Family Birthplace Unit with a focus on educating Operating Room circulation for C-sections.

Important:

• Candidate must have very high proficiency in Labor & Delivery (L&D) or OR circulation and C-sections.
• Straight L&D RNs without OR circulation experience for C-sections will NOT be considered.
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment.
• Facility will not consider travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: RN Educator in Perinatal Field
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years current RN Educator experience in the perinatal field (highest required years of experience)
• Experience educating circulating in OR for C-sections (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree (required)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

Certifications (Must be current and included with profile)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Additional Requirements

• Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Meditech Expanse experience (strongly preferred)
• Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime")
• Include permanent address with profile submission
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at submission; no more than 3 days allowed, and no RTO requests will be approved after submission
• Profile must include:

  • Work history
  • Skills checklist for Educator role (current within 1 year)
  • Skills checklist for Labor and Delivery (current within 1 year)
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years

COVID-19 Policy

• COVID vaccination required (dose date on or after 10/3/23) or approved exemption with signed documentation
• If exemption approved, traveler must wear a mask at all times on site

Orientation & Scheduling

• 8 hours non-billable orientation
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply
