Job Opportunity: RN - Rehab (Travel)
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility Overview
- 80-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
- Regional referral center offering rehabilitation for stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and other conditions
- Full continuum of post-acute rehabilitative care including physical, occupational, and speech therapies
- Only rehabilitation hospital in Western North Carolina (not a Skilled Nursing Facility)
- Accredited by CARF and Joint Commission
Unit Details
- Unit Type: Inpatient rehabilitation, all 4 units interchangeable (no floating outside units)
- Number of Beds: 65
- Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse
- Support Staff: CNAs available all shifts, 11 hours of unit secretary support daily
- Equipment: IV pumps, specialty beds, feeding pumps, lifts and transfer equipment, life vests
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: Mostly 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, primarily weekends
- Procedures: Two dialysis rooms on unit; dialysis performed by nurses from another facility
Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Rehabilitation
- Required Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs with white tops
- Patient Experience: Med surge and rehab experience a plus
- Work Environment: Friendly staff, attractive facility located in the mountains of Western NC with pleasant year-round weather and plenty of recreational activities nearby
