Job Details

• Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts, typically 1500-2330
• Holidays and every other weekend required
• Scheduled weekends off require coverage or prior approval
• Possible floating to similar unit (Inpatient Addiction Rehab Unit)
• Training provided for charge nurse responsibilities
• Uniform: Navy blue scrubs

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse in Psychiatric care

Required Credentials & Certifications

• State Nursing License: Verification required within 30 days prior to start
• BLS Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) only

• Arnot Skills Checklist: Must be fully complete and updated annually for the assigned unit
• Arnot Core Competency Exam: Must score 80% or higher on Core Comp I, II, and III for RNs
• Professional References: Two required (one supervisor reference from last 12 months, one supervisor or peer from last 3 years)
• Resume: Complete employment and education history for last 7 years, with no gaps
• Employment Verification: Verification of most recent employer required
• Education Verification: Initial nursing degree verification required (ASN or BSN)
• Background Checks: Agency background check within 30 days of start, including SSN address trace, county and national criminal checks, FACIS 3 check
• Drug Screen: 9+ panel drug screen within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Optional; proof or declination accepted
• MMR: Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required; must show results for each component
• Hepatitis B: Positive antibody titer, 3 vaccine series, or facility-specific declination form required
• Influenza Vaccine: Required or facility-specific declination form; mask required if declined
• TB Test: Annual requirement; acceptable forms include 2 PPD skin tests (one within 12 months, one within 3 months) or 1 Quantiferon/Spot test within 12 months; follow-up required for past positives
• Varicella: Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required; must show results
• Tdap: Preferred but not required; if no record, facility-specific declination form required
• Physical/Health Statement: Within last 12 months; must include physician credentials, vitals, height, weight, Snellen eye chart, and statement of no restrictions
• Fit Test: Annual requirement within last 12 months; must be one of specified mask models; on-site fit testing available if needed

• Valid, unexpired US Driver’s License or State ID
• Color headshot photo (professional style, no filters or sunglasses)
• Completion of facility-specific forms and acknowledgments including Code of Conduct, Sexual Harassment Acknowledgement, Parking Registration, Confirmation of Assignment, Self Study Packet and Quiz, Job Description, and Health Personal Information Form
