    • Pending License: Not accepted
    • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

    • Chemotherapy Certification - if applicable
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - if applicable
    • IV Certification (for LVN/LPN/Other) - if applicable
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - if applicable
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - if applicable

    Certifications must be current and from approved organizations (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation where applicable).


    Experience Requirements

    • Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for PACU RN roles.

    Licensing

    • Must hold a valid California RN license
    • NURSYS verification required
    • State-specific searches and background checks as applicable

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and health documents required:
      • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted)
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • Respirator fit testing required for travel candidates (updated annually)

    Competency and Training Requirements

    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
    • Competency exams required by specialty/unit
    • Color Blind Testing if required by unit
    • Skills Checklist updated annually
    • Providence-specific WorkRamp training modules (Core, Specialty, Regional) must be completed prior to start
    • Epic training modules required for charting system access

    Scheduling and Work Environment

    • Acute care setting with a focus on perioperative care (PACU)
    • Use of Epic electronic health record system
    • Parking available with associated costs

    Additional Notes

    • Float policy acknowledgment required (may be asked to float to other Providence facilities nearby)
    • Pending licenses are not accepted
    • Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
    • Seasonal elevated pay rates apply initially but will revert to standard rates after a specified date
