Job Opportunity: RN-OR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Location: San Diego, California
Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Clinical - Nursing - Travel)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Specialty

• Registered Nurse in Operating Room (RN-OR) with strong Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) skills
• Experience with open heart surgeries required
• Ability to support other surgical cases when no heart cases are available, including Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and Robotics

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid California RN license required
• CPR certification required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, individualized patient and family care using the nursing process
• Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive, age- and culturally-appropriate nursing care plans
• Evaluate patient and family progress toward goals and adjust care plans accordingly
• Identify and address patient/family educational needs with individualized teaching plans
• Recognize communication barriers and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish therapeutic relationships
• Advocate for patients and families, encouraging participation in decision-making
• Document patient care and communicate needs per department guidelines
• Delegate and assign care within team members’ scope of practice
• Coordinate and integrate care with healthcare team members and ancillary staff to support patient well-being and workflow

Experience Requirements

• Strong CVOR skills with open heart surgery experience
• Must be able to support multiple surgical specialties beyond cardiovascular cases
