Description
Registered Nurse - ICU (MICU)
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM, Weekend Rotating
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Call Requirements: None
Unit Information
- Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- Assignments based on patient acuity and nurse skills
- Equipment used: ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating: As needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Skills and Procedures
- Experience with central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures
- Meditech experience preferred
Dress Code and Appearance Guidelines
- Royal Blue scrubs required
- Nails must be clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, or similar enhancements
- Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
- Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; exceptions addressed individually
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)

- Attendance policies follow company-wide standards
- Floating guidelines apply as needed

This is a travel RN position in a MICU setting requiring at least 2 years of critical care nursing experience, active Texas RN licensure, and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
