Job Opportunity: RN - Oncology (Travel)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: K9A - Oncology/Women’s Surgical
Number of Beds: 24
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs
Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
Equipment: Standard unit equipment
EMR System: Cerner

Job Requirements

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Oncology
Required Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty
Certifications:
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: Chemo Certification (nice to have, not required)
Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License
Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Typical Procedures on Unit

Occasional pelvic exams
Echo
Thoracentesis

Work Environment & Culture

Team players who are willing to learn are the best fit
Floating occasionally to other med-surg units (rare)
Dress Code:
- RNs: Navy, white, or a combination of both
- CNAs: Galaxy Blue
Staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule
