Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech - Radiology (Travel)
Location: McMinnville, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Overview
- 60-bed acute-care, full-service facility
- Level III Trauma Center
- Department: Cat Scan / Radiology
- Shift: Nights
- Weekly Hours: 36 (including 12 weekend hours, mostly Sunday nights)
- Call: None required but available for support
- Patient Population: All ages, minimal pediatric cases
- Typical Night Volume: 5-6 CT scans and 8-10 X-rays (manageable for one tech)
- Equipment:
- GE VCT main CT scanner
- Discovery RT backup CT scanner
- GE Difinium collapsable column portables
- GE XR646 digital X-ray rooms
- EHR Systems: Meditech & Change Healthcare (McKesson PACS)
Job Responsibilities
- Independently perform both CT and X-Ray exams
- Support inpatient and Emergency Department exams, including trauma and stroke cases
- Assist with order prep tasks during slower times
- Collaborate with night ultrasound tech and other team members
- Maintain communication with night shift teammates and providers
- Float between CT and X-Ray as needed; volume is manageable with on-call backup
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Tech in specialty
- Valid CT and X-Ray license for Oregon (OBMI State License)
- BLS certification
- Registry and licensure appropriate for CT Tech role
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends as scheduled
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Surgery C-Arm and Fluoroscopy is a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Task-oriented and able to work independently
Additional Information
- Orientation provided weekly on Mondays
- Dress code: Any solid color scrubs; light blue scrub set provided and laundered
- Unacceptable attire includes open-toed shoes and shorts
- Supportive team environment with techs available for assistance
Summary
This travel CT Tech position offers a night shift role in a supportive, manageable volume environment with a variety of patient cases. The role requires a minimum of 2 years CT Tech experience, appropriate licensure, and BLS certification. Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
