Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: ICU
- Number of Beds: 24
- Number of Staff: 46
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:2 typical
- 1:3 for PCU boarders
- 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity (IABP, CRRT, open hearts)
- Staffing: 1 CCT/US during day shift if > 10 patients
- Documentation System: EPIC
- Scheduling: Straight nights or 50/50 shifts
- Floating Policy: PCU or sitter anywhere in hospital inpatient
Required Experience & Certifications
- Years of ICU experience: Minimum 2 years (1 year strong experience may be considered)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (required)
- BLS
- NIH Certification
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Typical Procedures Performed
- Rapid Sequence Intubations
- Central line placements
- Bronchoscopy
- Intubation
- Arterial line placement
- Chest tube placement
- Experience with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, arterial lines, and other ICU skills
Work Environment & Culture

- Weekend Shifts: 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
- On-call: May be required
