Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a freestanding Emergency Department with outpatient, primary care, and ED services.
• Outpatient hours until 8 PM; after 8 PM, ED only until 7 AM.
• Perform basic scans related to stroke and cardiac care.
• Independent worker with excellent customer service skills; collaborative with ED team.
• Patient age groups include Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.

Required Skills & Procedures

• X-Ray imaging of extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, fluoroscopy studies, lower and upper extremities.
• Preferred experience with enema studies, surgery/c-arm, Shimatzu-Xray.
• Work settings: Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department.
• Equipment: GE, PACS.
• Abdomen and Pelvis imaging with and without contrast.
• Chest imaging with and without contrast.
• Head and Neck imaging with and without contrast.
• Special Procedures: Brain perfusion, Coronary CTA, CT arthrography, Myelography, Transplant studies, Vascular CTA.
• Spine and Musculoskeletal imaging: Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic.
• Professional skills: Preparation and/or administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs.
• Preferred: Image display and post-processing including multiplanar reconstruction (MRP).

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT certification.
• ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Washington State License (WA LIC).

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
• Call required with a 30-minute response time.

Patient Population

• Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics.

Additional Requirements

• Professional appearance: scrubs must be professional, without logos, and in good condition.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compliance & Documentation Highlights

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Drug screening: 10 panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Respirator fit testing required annually for travel candidates.
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.

Work Environment & Equipment

• Use of EPIC charting system.
• Equipment includes GE imaging systems and PACS.

Patient Care Settings

• Adult Outpatient and Emergency Department.

Notes

• Active compact license holders are honored at all Swedish facilities.
• Perm candidates from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible for travel contracts after a 3-month separation.
• Float policy may require travel to other Providence facilities within a reasonable distance.

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid experience in radiology and cardiology imaging, comfortable working in emergency and outpatient settings, and who meet the certification and licensing requirements for Washington State.
