Job Opportunity: Dialysis Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Rochester, New York

Job Description
- Guarantee Hours: 36 hours per week
- Assignment: Able to run a 4:1 patient assignment and serve as Charge Nurse for up to 21 stations
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts), days may vary based on staffing needs
- Rotating Saturdays and occasional Sundays (due to holidays)
- Floating required across all dialysis locations
- Outpatient and chronic dialysis experience required
- Charge Nurse/Team Leader experience required
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI acceptable
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI acceptable, as required by unit
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit description (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM)

Candidates must complete and provide the following prior to or shortly after start:
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check (including felony checks)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (updated monthly)
- Education verification from primary source
- Foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
Licensure & Verification
- State nursing license primary source verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific mask types accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire annually in lieu of TB test renewal
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (Surface AB and AG titers required for dialysis)
- Varicella
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (not required annually)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
- Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year (not required annually)
- COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required
Competency & Skills Verification
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as required
- Color blind testing (one-time)
- Competency exam as required by specialty
- Skills checklist annually
Facility Specific
- Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background)
- Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment
- Completion of facility-specific modules and attestations
Employment History & References
- Verification of at least 2 past employments
- 2 references within 3 years (required for Aya candidates)
- Employment application required
Additional Notes
- Local candidates are accepted but at a lower rate
- Floating across multiple dialysis locations is required
- Charge nurse/team leader skills essential for this role
