Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit. The unit practices inpatient rooming with infants, with newborn nursery care available as needed. Shift is 12 hours, night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend coverage is every other weekend.

- Shift: 12 hours, night shift (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
- Medication system: Omnicell
- Communication method: SBAR
- Charge nurse role: Not required or preferred
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- First-time travelers with experience will be considered
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Beginner (required)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - AWHONN Beginner required for L&D RNs
Preferred Certifications:
- AWHONN Intermediate
- AWHONN Advanced
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license for Massachusetts
- Completion of MA Statewide CORI background check
- Compliance with facility-specific background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- N95 fit test within last 6 months (specific approved masks required)
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or equivalent)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or signed declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
- Drug screening within 30 days prior to start (minimum 9-panel)
- Two professional references within the last 3 years
Additional Requirements
- Badge photo (passport style) required prior to start
- Completion of facility-specific compliance checklists and questionnaires (e.g., latex allergy, COVID exemption forms if applicable)
- Age-specific competency exam required
Prior Travel Experience
- Not explicitly required; first-time travelers with experience will be considered
