Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Details

• Shift: Primarily 1745 - 0615, may also cover 1100 - 2330 as needed
• Scheduling: Self-schedule based on seniority
• Start Date: ASAP
• Ratios: 1:1
• Floating: No floating between units required
• On-call: No call required
• Weekend Requirement: Pending
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once every two-week pay period

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
• First-time travelers accepted
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• ARRT Advanced
• CA CRT (California Certified Radiologic Technologist)
• CT Certification
• California RT license (CPDH Certificate required for RTs working in CA)

Required Qualifications

• Valid California state license for Radiologic Technologist (RT)
• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Additional Requirements

• Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• Competency exams as applicable by profession
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blindness testing if required by unit
• No pending or expired licenses or certifications
• No call required
• No floating required

Facility Specific Requirements

• Badge photo (passport style with neutral background) required
• Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules annually, including:

  • Regulatory requirements
  • Specialty-specific modules (if applicable)
  • Regional core and specialty modules for California
• Epic training modules completion required prior to moving to permanent documentation workflow
• Compliance with Providence float policy acknowledgment (may be required)

Notes

• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Background checks must include SSN trace, death master index, sex offender registry, education verification, and other state-specific checks as applicable
• Drug screen must be negative and THC-free
• Physical exam must indicate ability to work with or without accommodation
• Facility provides free parking
• Scrub color for RNs is Navy Blue (for reference)

This position offers a travel contract opportunity for a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, working in an acute care hospital setting in California with flexible scheduling and no on-call or floating requirements.
