Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Primary shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (schedule may adjust based on needs)
- First-time travelers accepted
- 2 years of experience required in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Call required with a 30-minute response time
- Work involves basic scans, stroke and cardiac center imaging
- Facility includes freestanding Emergency Department (ED), outpatient, and primary care services
- Outpatient services until 8 PM; ED coverage from 8 PM to 7 AM
- Independent worker with excellent customer service skills, collaborative with ED team
- Patient age groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Required Skills & Procedures
- X-Ray imaging of extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, fluoroscopy studies
- Preferred experience with enema studies, surgery/c-arm, Shimatzu-Xray
- Work settings: Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department
- Equipment: GE, PACS
- Imaging areas:
- Abdomen and Pelvis (with/without contrast)
- Chest (with/without contrast)
- Head and Neck (with/without contrast)
- Special procedures: Brain perfusion, Coronary CTA, CT arthrography, Myelography, Transplant studies, Vascular CTA
- Spine and Musculoskeletal imaging: Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic
- Professional skills: Preparation/administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs
- Preferred: Image display and post-processing (Multiplanar reconstruction - MRP)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT certification
- ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification
- BLS certification
- Washington State License (WA LIC)
- Additional certifications may be required based on clinical track and facility requirements (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Certification)
Patient Care & Work Environment
- Independent and collaborative work style
- Professional appearance: Scrubs must be professional, no logos, and in good condition
- Charting system: EPIC
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification required
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Flu vaccine or declination (seasonal)
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual update required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Respirator fit testing required for travel candidates (updated annually)
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
Additional Requirements
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Must be able to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance if needed
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules and facility-specific training prior to start
- Compliance with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable
