Physical Therapist Job Opportunity
Location: Clovis, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied
Job Summary
- Evaluate and treat patients using a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders.
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
- Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care.
- Pediatric Physical Therapist duties include evaluating and treating infants, children, and adolescents (birth to 18 years) for motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait, and related disorders. May float to adult units if pediatric census fluctuates.
- Acts as a patient advocate and coordinates care with various disciplines.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of current experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Must have inpatient and outpatient experience.
- If working in pediatrics, at least 1 year of pediatric physical therapy experience is required.
- Prior travel experience required: at least one previous travel assignment of 13 weeks or more.
- Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
Licensure & Certifications
- Must have a New Mexico Physical Therapist License.
- BLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
Contract Length
- Approximately 27 weeks.
Additional Information
- EPIC experience preferred but training available on-site.
- New graduates may be considered if confident and possess strong skills.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Assignment includes a mix of acute care and outpatient care.
- Requires 1 weekend per month in acute care; weekday hours adjusted to maintain a 40-hour workweek.
