Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse First Assist

Location: Washington, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Operating Room
Shift: Days (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Requirement: Fridays (required)
Call Requirements: None
Scrub Color: Black

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse First Assist, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Operating Room (OR) experience
Experience in eye cases
Proficient in hemostasis

Job Responsibilities

Provide key surgeon support during orthopedic, urology, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, breast, and some vascular cases
Perform tasks such as tissue handling, suturing, and hemostasis
Assist with pre- and post-operative patient care
Participate in OR room turnover as part of a collaborative team environment
Demonstrate teamwork and accountability in all caregiving duties

Preferred Qualifications

CNOR certification
CRNFA certification
