Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab (Traveler)

Location: Passaic, New Jersey
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 7 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Address psychosocial, physical, and general care aspects related to the surgical environment.
  • Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient condition.
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
  • Assess procedure room and equipment readiness.
  • Obtain supplies for individual cases and support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team.
  • Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
  • Continuously monitor and record patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

  • License: Active Registered Nursing (RN) license in New Jersey.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) from AHA or Red Cross.
    • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certificate upon hire and maintained.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area.
  • Additional Testing:
    • Must pass Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (80% or higher).
    • Must pass Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (80% or higher).
    • Must pass Prime Core Competencies Exam (80% or higher).
    • Must pass Prime Specialty Exam (80% or higher).
    • Must complete Prime Skills Checklist.
  • Health Requirements:
    • COVID-19 vaccination and booster or completed declination.
    • Proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap.
    • TB test within one year of start date.
    • Annual respirator fit test.
    • Physical/Health statement completed annually or as required.
    • Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test) within 60 days of start.
  • Professional Requirements:
    • Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
    • National criminal background check within one year of start date.
    • Prime Agency Attestation and Prime SAM/EPLS clearance.
    • Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification).
    • Prime Job Description signed by employee.
  • Other:
    • Completion of Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP).
