Job Opportunity: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description
- Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
- Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (3x12's), rotating day/night shifts (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm)
- Shift rotation may be adjusted based on hospital operational needs
- Must work at least every other holiday
Required Experience
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted)
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Ohio RN license or RN license from a compact state, must be in hand before start
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate medication competency test during orientation
Required Qualifications & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required and must be carried on assignment
- Background checks including FCRA compliant 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) required and must be updated annually
- Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and results must be on file prior to contract extension
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including Snellen eye exam (required for new candidates starting 4/11/2025 or later)
- Fit mask test (N95) within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tdap vaccine every 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
- Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
Orientation & Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
- Pass/Fail testing for ECG and medication competency during orientation (retake available if needed)
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required
- Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual and pass/fail testing required
Additional Requirements
- Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, with at least 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area
- Two professional references from within the last year required (from manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
- Candidates must be prepared to complete fingerprinting at the facility in addition to agency process
- Candidates must be able to safely perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Med/Surg Telemetry RN position in Cleveland, Ohio.
