Description
Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics (Nights)
Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Must be comfortable floating within the same discipline across local campuses, including general medical-surgical units.
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3.
- Work schedule includes night shifts.
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- License: Active Iowa RN license at time of submission.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric RN experience (must have 24 months of current Pediatric experience documented).
- At least 1 prior travel contract completed (prior travel experience required).
- Skills:
- Pediatric Vapotherm experience required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (PALS preferred but not mandatory if NRP is held).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or ARC required.
- Additional:
- Skills checklist specific to Pediatric nursing discipline required.
- Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Additional Information
- Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
- Call-back and on-call shifts may be required.
- OT and holiday pay multipliers apply.
This position is ideal for experienced Pediatric RNs with prior travel contract experience who are flexible and able to float to general medical-surgical units as needed.
