Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics (Nights)

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Must be comfortable floating within the same discipline across local campuses, including general medical-surgical units.
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3.
  • Work schedule includes night shifts.
  • Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

  • License: Active Iowa RN license at time of submission.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric RN experience (must have 24 months of current Pediatric experience documented).
    • At least 1 prior travel contract completed (prior travel experience required).
  • Skills:
    • Pediatric Vapotherm experience required.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (PALS preferred but not mandatory if NRP is held).
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or ARC required.
  • Additional:
    • Skills checklist specific to Pediatric nursing discipline required.
    • Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license required.

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
  • Call-back and on-call shifts may be required.
  • OT and holiday pay multipliers apply.

This position is ideal for experienced Pediatric RNs with prior travel contract experience who are flexible and able to float to general medical-surgical units as needed.
