Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN Medical/Surgical)
Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in team nursing environment
- Units include stroke primary unit, cardiac services, and telemetry
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid New York State RN license (State License Verification required)
Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- 8 Hours of Stroke Training (including NHISS)
- Arnot Skills Checklist (unit-specific, updated annually)
- Arnot Core Competency Exam (must score 80% or higher)
Health and Safety Requirements
- COVID-19 Vaccine (proof or agency declination)
- MMR: Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required
- Hepatitis B: Positive antibody titer, 3 vaccine series, or facility-specific declination form
- Influenza Vaccine or facility-specific declination (mask required if declined)
- Varicella: Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required
- Tdap: Preferred within last 10 years or facility-specific declination
- TB Test: Must have one of the following within last 12 months:
- 2 skin PPDs (1 within 12 months, 1 within 3 months) or
- 1 Quantiferon/Spot test
- For past positives, chest x-ray within 12 months may be required
- Fit Test for approved respirators (annual requirement)
- Agency Drug Screen (9+ panel, within 30 days of start)
- Physical/Health Statement (within last 12 months, no restrictions)

- Valid US Driver’s License or State ID (not expired)
- Agency Background Check (within 30 days of start) including:
- SSN Address Trace
- County and National Criminal Checks
- FACIS 3 Check
- Arnot Resume (employment and education history for last 7 years)
- 2 Professional References (1 from last 12 months, 1 from last 3 years)
