Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Rochester, New York

Job Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Shift: 4x12 hour shifts, primarily 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, alternating with 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• First Time Traveler: Accepted
• Local Candidates: Must live more than 75 miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

• License: Must have a valid New York RN license in hand prior to start
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI accepted
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI accepted
  • Other certifications as required by unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) may be necessary depending on unit assignment
• Experience:

  • Minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience for MS/Tele specialty
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check including felony checks
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 3 months of start and ongoing monthly
• Education Verification: Required from primary source; foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
• Health Requirements: Must complete health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of contract signing, including:

  • Physical exam (within 1 year)
  • Fit mask test (annual)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
  • Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
  • Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year
  • COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required
• Competencies: Medication/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams as required by specialty
• Other Requirements:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background)
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
  • State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
  • NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
• References: Two references within 3 years required for Aya candidates (not facility requirement)
• Work History Verification: Required for Aya direct and subcontractors

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Candidates must be prepared to complete all compliance and health documentation promptly after contract signing.
• Fingerprinting and additional background checks may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Home Health Aide, LTC).
• Candidates should be comfortable with alternating shifts and weekend work.
