Job Opportunity: Technologist - Cath Lab (Days)

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Perform specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Serve as a lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff to maximize team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with intra-procedure teams to ensure safe patient care.
  • Participate in Universal Protocol and site marking identification when applicable.
  • Assist with patient identification, preparation, draping, and room setup for routine procedures.
  • Read and interpret physicians’ orders/protocols; communicate with physicians as needed.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment, including special procedures equipment.
  • Train technologists on special procedures equipment operation.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance work efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology through continuing education and professional involvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines affecting cardiovascular technology and cardiac labs.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases.
  • Active ARRT or RCIS certification.
  • Active ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Valid State of Texas Medical Radiologic License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a critical care setting (ICU, ED, etc.) or previous Cath/EP Lab experience.
  • Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not required.

Work Schedule & Conditions

  • Work week runs Wednesday through Tuesday.
  • Overtime and holiday pay at 1.5x.
  • Callback pay at 1.5x with a minimum of 2 hours.
  • No unbillable orientation hours.
  • Locals within 60 miles are accepted.

Additional Notes

  • Must provide documentation including a resume, skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab, and supervisory references.
  • Must disclose any previous employment history with the facility.
