Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology (Days)

Job Description

This role involves working in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR), a specialty focused on minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that often replace traditional surgery. Procedures include:

• Angiogram of multiple systems
• Peripheral revascularization
• Placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters
• Nephrostomy drainage tubes
• Placement and maintenance of gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes
• Central line placement and vascular access including port placement
• Pain management interventions
• Paracentesis and thoracentesis
• Pre- and post-care for renal, liver, and lung biopsies
• Carotid stenting

Note: Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Interventional Radiology
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Interventional Radiology/IR RN experience (highest required years of experience)
• Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology experience required
• Defibrillation certification required
• IV skills required
• Critical Care Unit (CCU) experience required
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment
• Attendance at all mandatory education sessions is required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime" availability accepted)
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment; all RTO must be submitted upfront with the profile
• Schedule accommodations will NOT be considered (10- or 12-hour shifts)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Defibrillation certification

Additional Requirements

• Work history and skills checklist specific to Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab (current within 1 year)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
• Must include Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License with submission (required by state for temporary nursing staffing)
