Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Everett, Washington
Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
Total Staffed Beds: 571 (across campuses)
Shift: 5x8 Days, Monday-Friday
Weekends Required: No
Floating: No floating between units required
Locals Accepted: No
Remote: Fully Remote Position
Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 week period
Charting System: EPIC
Scrub Color: Any except reddish orange
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty (Registered Nurse)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Required Licenses and Certifications
- Washington RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred/Additional Certifications (may be required depending on unit)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – required for ER
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) – Advanced ONS/ONCC Certification required for Oncology placements
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – for applicable units
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- IV Certification (if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Note: Certification requirements may vary by unit and clinical track.
Required Background and Compliance Checks
- Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification (nursing degree verification required)
- State-specific searches (Washington State Patrol Search, OBRA Registry for CNAs if applicable)
- Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask test (N95 or equivalent) required annually for travel candidates
- Immunizations/Vaccinations:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Flu Vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID Vaccine or declination
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety) annually for travel candidates
Training and Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
- Competency Exams as required by specialty
- Color Blind Testing (if required by unit)
- Skills Checklists updated annually (clinical specialties)
- Specialty-specific WorkRamp modules and regulatory training required annually
- Epic training modules completion required prior to or shortly after start

- No weekends required
- No floating between units
- Fully remote position but onsite requirements for some health and compliance documents
- Parking is facility paid
- Scrub color restrictions apply (no reddish orange)
