    Travel/Contract ICU Registered Nurse - California (Tracy)

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid California RN License
    • Certifications:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
      • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
    • Every other weekend availability required

    Experience

    • Minimum years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard ICU RN experience expected (typically 1+ years ICU experience recommended)

    Background and Screening Requirements

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks as applicable
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
    • Employment verification covering up to 7 years with no gaps over 30 days; full 7 years of work history required on application

    Health and Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Fit test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
    • Immunizations and/or titers required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
      • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
      • Varicella immunity or vaccination
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (11/1 - 4/30), or signed declination
    • Respiratory safety clearance required annually
    • Color blindness exam if applicable (in-person exam only)

    Competency and Skills

    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
    • Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required for some telemetry units
    • ICU RNs at some locations may be required to take EKG exam onsite after start

    Facility Specific Requirements

    • Candidate must review and sign facility policies and job description prior to start, including:
      • Standards of Business Conduct
      • Code of Conduct
      • Vendor Training (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
      • Overpayment Refund Policy
      • General Regulatory Orientation for Contracted Workers
      • TB Questionnaire (signed by candidate and healthcare provider within 90 days)
      • Request for Religious Accommodation Form (if applicable)
      • Epic Questionnaire (RN only, required for new candidates starting 11/3/2025 and onward)

    Additional Notes

    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training may be required; can be completed onsite during orientation week
    • NIH Stroke Certification may be required; verify by position
    • References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates (Aya requirement only)
