Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)
Location: Torrance, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse for Case Management in the Emergency Room (ER) Department with a focus on recent discharge planning and acute inpatient care.
Start Date & Shift
- Start Date: February 2026
- Shift: Variable start times at 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient experience (higher value confirmed)
- First-time travelers accepted
Schedule Requirements
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Not required
- Block schedule: Not accommodated
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 10 days max
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Flu vaccine required; no declinations accepted
- Pending license not accepted
- California RN license required (implied by specialty and state)
Prior Travel Experience
- Not explicitly required
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Two supervisor/manager references within one year of start (one from Charge RN acceptable)
- Current resume/application covering all cities and states lived/worked in past 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, and education verification
- Drug testing within 1 year of start and updated annually (excluding Marijuana/THC panel starting 1/1/24)
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Flu vaccine (mandatory for 2025-26 season)
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with annual TB questionnaire if history positive)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific N95 masks required)
- Harassment Prevention Training Certificate
- Other facility-specific documents such as safety quizzes, orientation modules, confidentiality agreements, and policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start

- No on-call or floating duties required
- No block scheduling or extended shifts accommodation
- Local candidates within 50 miles preferred but travel candidates accepted
- Must have flu vaccine with no exemptions allowed for this contract
- References and background checks are strictly enforced
