    Job Description

    • Role: Cath Lab RN
    • Start Date: ASAP
    • Daily Caseload: 8-12 patients
    • Types of Procedures:
      • Coronary Artery Disease (diagnostic and intervention)
      • Peripheral Vascular Disease (diagnostic and intervention)
      • Cardiac Arrhythmias
      • Permanent pacemakers
    • Departments: Cath Lab (specific departments pending)

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years as a Registered Nurse (RN)
    • First-time travelers accepted
    • Prior travel experience: Not required
    • Weekend shifts: Required
    • Floating: Not required
    • On-call: Required
    • Certifications Required:
      • BLS (Basic Life Support)
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • Orientation: 30 hours
    • Pending state license accepted (must be approved at time of submission)

    • Scrub Color: RN may wear any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy

    Required Licenses & Certifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for California
    • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation accepted)

    Additional Requirements & Compliance

    • Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
    • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations & Health Documents:
      • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • Respirator Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually
    • Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually
    • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
    • Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format

    Scheduling & Work Conditions

    • Block scheduling may be accommodated
    • Locals accepted
    • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
    • No floating required
    • Weekend and call shifts required

    Orientation & Training

    • 30 hours orientation required
    • Must complete required WorkRamp modules annually (regulatory, specialty, and facility-specific)
    • Epic training modules required and must be completed after Providence access is granted
