Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology (IR)
Location: Glens Falls, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in the Interventional Radiology Lab providing care to both acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations.
- Primary care setting is the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Staff available 24/7 for emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including specialized physicians, registered clinical nurses, and radiology technologists.
- Procedures and responsibilities include:
- Angiogram of multiple systems
- Peripheral revascularization
- Placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters
- Nephrostomy drainage tubes
- Placement and maintenance of gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes
- Central line placement and vascular access including port placement and integrity
- Pain management interventions
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis
- Pre- and post-care for renal, liver, and lung biopsies
- Carotid stenting
- Patient population ranges from adolescent to geriatric.
- Trauma Level I facility.
- EMR systems used: Cerner and McKesson.
- Hospital-provided scrubs.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY RN license required).
- Previous Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Experience with adolescent to geriatric patient populations required.
- Experience with procedural sedation, circulation, and recovery phases required.
- Ability and willingness to float to the Cardiac Cath Lab required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred (not required).

- Must provide work history, skills checklist (updated within 1 year), and a supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
- Permanent address must be included in profile and must match driver’s license/state ID; address will be validated during compliance.
- Certain New York counties are excluded from consideration for this travel assignment.
Summary
This is a temporary RN position in Interventional Radiology requiring strong IR experience, certifications, and flexibility to float to the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role involves working with a diverse patient population in a Level I trauma center with 24/7 emergency coverage. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
