Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Turnersville, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Floating: Potential to float to nearby campuses
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday required
- On-Call: None
- Equipment Used: GE and PACS
- Scrub Color: Black
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- License: New Jersey state license for MRI Tech
- Certifications:
- ARRT (R) (MR)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history and various federal/state checks
- Education verification (official transcript acceptable)
- Physical exam within 2 months of start
- Fit test (3M 1870+ model) within 12 months prior to start (must be completed before start)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (current)
- Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
- COVID-19 vaccine no longer required prior to start; medical/religious exemptions accepted with mask requirements; booster preferred but not required
- Professional references (2 within last 2 years)
- Work history verification (minimum 1 year prior to start, per NJ state mandate)
Additional Notes
- Modules assigned by education department must be completed prior to orientation (approx. 6 hours)
- Pass/Fail Basic Dysrhythmia Exam required during orientation (1 attempt only)
- RTO (Return to Office) required upon submission
This position offers a structured travel contract with clear requirements and support for first-time travelers.
