Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging)

Location: Cape May Court House, New Jersey
Shift: Night Shift (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts, 3 days per week)
Contract Length: 9 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform Computerized Tomographic (CT) procedures following hospital, state, and federal standards, completing routine procedures within 45 minutes.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT-specific computer applications.
  • Follow Universal Precautions and Infection Control policies.
  • Verify image presence and documentation accuracy in the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).
  • Interview patients to obtain pertinent clinical history and provide instructions and education related to procedures.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) through documentation, data collection, and customer satisfaction efforts.
  • Provide physical and psychological support to patients during procedures.
  • Maintain licensure/certification and participate in continuing education.
  • Attend staff and department meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program accredited by the AMA.
  • Eligibility for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or certification by the New Jersey State Board of Examiners.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (highest required experience).
  • Demonstrated competency in performing CT procedures.
  • Solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy related to CT imaging.
  • Preferred experience with GE equipment.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, or stoop as needed.
  • Visual acuity to perceive depth, distance, and read documents (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Ability to hear and respond to inquiries from patients and staff.
  • Ability to work under varying lighting conditions for extended periods.
  • Potential exposure to toxins or hazardous materials and use of dangerous equipment.

  • Prior travel experience is not specified or required.
  • Licensure requirement is specific to CT Technologist / Radiologic Technologist role.
  • Compliance with standard healthcare credentialing and immunization requirements is expected.
