    Job Summary

    Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a travel contract assignment in California.


    Required Qualifications

    Licensure

    • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for California.
    • NURSYS verification required for all RNs.

    Experience

    Background and Compliance

      • Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season or declination accepted.
      • COVID vaccine or declination required.
    • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use.
    • Fit mask testing required for travel candidates; must be updated annually.

    Competencies

    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
    • Competency exams as applicable by specialty.
    • Color Blind Testing if required by unit.
    • EFM training or certification required for Labor & Delivery RNs.

    References and Employment History

    • Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format required.

    Facility and Regional Requirements

    • Completion of Providence Health and Services - specific WorkRamp modules annually, including:
      • Regulatory requirements for RNs/LVNs.
      • Specialty-specific modules for ER, L&D, Leadership roles, Hospice/Home Health/Assisted Living as applicable.
      • Regional core and specialty-specific modules based on location and specialty.
    • Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background).
    • Floating policy acknowledgment required; may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.
    • Epic access training modules required for certain regions and roles.
