Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Greenville, Mississippi
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Weekend Shifts: 4 per contract
- Patient Ratio: 1:7
- Tele Float: Required as needed
- Scrubs: Any color allowed
Required Qualifications
- License: Mississippi RN state license or compact license
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers welcome)
- Electronic Health Record Experience: Meditech experience required
Compliance & Background Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within the last year, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Mississippi Department of Health fingerprint background screening within last 2 years (or Letter of Suitability) required prior to start
- Education verification (diploma or transcript) required
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start (chest x-ray within 5 years if positive TB test)
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination with proof)
- Varicella
- 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests acceptable, cannot be onsite)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved religious/medical exemption required prior to start
Additional Notes
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required as applicable
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification preferred for Emergency Department
- OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training required (proof or attestation)
This position is suitable for RNs with at least 1 year of experience, including those new to travel nursing. Night shift and weekend availability are required.
