Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Olive Branch, Mississippi
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
  • Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (subject to change during interview)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • On-Call: Yes, STEMI call 7-12 days per month including 1 weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Weekend Requirement: As needed
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule)
  • Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Mississippi
  • Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
  • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience working with pediatric patients

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification
  • E-Verify or attestation for advanced practice nurses (if applicable)
  • Social Security card and two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending results accepted)
  • Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (must pass without limitations)
  • Immunizations: Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, and TB screening within required timeframes
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • Two recent professional references
  • Skills checklist and internal evaluation as applicable

Additional Notes

  • Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
  • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
  • All travel nurses must submit Return to Office (RTO) restrictions at time of submission

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs with prior travel experience or significant specialty experience seeking a 13-week travel assignment in Mississippi.
