Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- 1st time travelers accepted if they have 3+ years of experience
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

- BCLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
Skills & Procedures
- Skills: Circulate, Conscious Sedation required
- Procedures include:
- Cardiac: Left and Right Heart Catheterization (LHC, RHC), Balloon pumps, Temporary pacer, Permanent pacer/defibrillator, Pericardial effusion management, STEMI call
- Interventional Radiology (IR): Venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, Pulmonary Embolism (PE), Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) management, Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS), Portal Vein (PV) procedures, Fistula work, Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), prostate embolization, GI/Postpartum/internal bleed management

- Must hold a valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Indiana
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Recent Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
- Proficient in Circulate
- Conscious Sedation skills required
Important Notes
- Effective 11/30/24, Indiana RNs are generally not allowed to work at this facility except for Periop/OR RN’s, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (including ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS) who are exempt from this rule.
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport required
- Background checks, education verification, and various health and competency documents are required prior to start
- Physical exam and fit mask test must be current within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and titers required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred), Flu vaccination (declinations not accepted)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
- References: Minimum 2 recent employment references required with appropriate supervisory titles
- Skills checklist and competency exams required annually
