Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Description

• Perform routine and specialized computerized tomography (CT) procedures to produce quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures.
• Provide competent patient assessment, monitoring, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
• May perform specific procedures and assist in orienting new staff to the department.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 10 hours each (Friday to Sunday)
• Friday: 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, and other federal/state screenings.
• Annual updates required for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS Level 3 screenings.
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance for work.
• TB screening: Negative test within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
• Immunizations required or proof of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination.
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types required).
• Color blindness exam if applicable (in-person exam required).

Additional Requirements

• Full 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days documented in the employment application.
• Unit-specific skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
• Photo for badge (passport-style photo).
• Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, standards of business conduct, and regulatory orientations prior to start.

The role involves performing CT scans independently with a focus on patient safety and quality imaging. The contract is approximately 13 weeks long with weekend shifts and no on-call duties.
