Job Opportunity: Rad Tech - Radiology (Travel)
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility Overview
- Level II trauma center
- Comprehensive stroke center
- Level III neonatal intensive care unit
- Busy robotic surgery program
- Only open heart and interventional cardiology in the region
- Pediatric emergency room with 30 pediatric subspecialists
- Recognized for high clinical quality and patient safety
Unit Information
- Department: Imaging Diagnostic (DX Radiology)
- Location: 2nd floor, F Tower
- Number of Beds: 800
- Staff per 24-hour period:
- Day Shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
- Evening Shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
- Night Shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
- Equipment: GE Rad rooms, Portable GE and Shiatzu, C-arms OEC, O-arms Medtronics
- EMR System: Cerner Rad Net
Job Description
- Perform all diagnostic imaging including portable and OR imaging
- Skills in ED trauma imaging required
- Fluoroscopic procedures preferred
- Typical procedures: Diagnostic imaging, portable, trauma, fluoroscopic, surgical imaging
- Must be a team player and self-motivated, able to work independently
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
- Skills in all areas of diagnostic (DX) radiology
- Skills in portable radiology
- Skills in operating room (OR) radiology
Additional Information
- Weekend rotation required
- Dress code: Black scrubs
Summary
This travel contract position is ideal for a Radiologic Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, and skills in diagnostic, trauma, and portable imaging. The role requires weekend availability and offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, well-recognized hospital with advanced imaging technology.
