Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Overnight)
Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of qualified medical staff.
- Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
- Work with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
- Able to insert and remove IVs.
- Follow all federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience required.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
- ARRT Registered - RT (R) or RT (N).
- ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred. If no CT license at time of hire, must obtain within 1 year.
- CPR certification required.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred.
- Must meet all immunization and health screening requirements, including but not limited to:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA preferred).
- N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually.
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity.
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (no exemptions).
- TB screening within 3 months of start date.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity strongly preferred.
- Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 365 days of start date.
- Must pass comprehensive background checks including criminal background, CORI, SSN trace, sex offender registry, and exclusion checks.
- Documentation of work history and education required.
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is needed.
