Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (IMC) - Travel/Contract
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position in Intermediate Care (IMC) unit
- Schedule: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with every other weekend (EOW) and holiday coverage as needed
- Floating: May be asked to float to rehab if needed
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (highest requirement)
- First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
- EPIC experience required
- Certifications required: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) & Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
Schedule & Time Off
- No return to office (RTO) over 7 days allowed
- Weekends: Every other weekend required
- Holidays: Coverage as needed
- Floating: May be required
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
Health & Immunization
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
- Respiratory Safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
Facility Specific Documents
- Passport-style photo for badge (professional appearance, solid light background)
- Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form (preferred within 90 days)
- Review and sign facility policies: Commitment to Health & Wellness, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Non-Employee Affidavit
- Completion of required Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
- Hepatitis B declination form if applicable
State Specific Documents
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
- Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprint results within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
- Pennsylvania PATCH Search results must be finalized prior to start
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references within 3 years

- Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of Intermediate Care nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Notes
- No scheduling requests may be approved
- Candidate will be clinically screened for fit before manager interview
- Maximum return to office (RTO) time is 7 days
- Floating to rehab unit may be required
- Tobacco and fragrance-free environment
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience, comfortable with EPIC, and willing to work night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage in a travel/contract role.
