Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Care Unit (Days)

Unit Description

• Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) is a 30-bed unit providing medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care.
• Patient acuity: Medium to high, with complex co-morbidities requiring a higher level of nursing care than general patient care units.
• Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients.
• Common diagnoses include cardiac conditions, pre/post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute myocardial infarction (MI), post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, and similar disease processes.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: Maximum 1:4.
• May float to other units including Med/Surg as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• EPIC charting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care nursing experience.

Additional Information

• Must be a W-2 employee of the agency.
• Flexibility to float to Med/Surg and Critical Care units is required.
