Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work days, 40 hours per week
• Shifts: 8-hour, 12-hour, or mixed shifts (examples: 7am-7pm, 3pm-11pm) with set schedules
• Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Fast-paced, busy facility with high acuity patients
• Department has 8 treatment areas/scanners
• May float between main campus and UC campus (stand-alone ER)
• Mixed patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Imaging includes CTAs, cardiac studies, perfusion, and a variety of other imaging/studies
• Busy OR and ER environment

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) license required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• CT certification preferred
• Must be capable of performing venipuncture
• Must demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a shifting environment
• Self-motivated, team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills
• Driver’s license required at submittal (used to verify candidate location within 50 miles radius)
• Must comply with fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
• Radiation badge provided by client

Experience Requirements

• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
• Prefer candidates who can perform both CT and X-ray, especially for overnight shifts

Equipment & Systems

• Siemens imaging equipment
• Bracco contrast injectors
• EMR: EPIC
• PACS: McKesson

Orientation & Additional Notes

• Orientation: 36-40 hours of unit/department-specific training
• Candidates must not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
• Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO approved
• Successful candidates are proactive, able to problem-solve creatively, and willing to stay busy and engaged
