Description
Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work days, 40 hours per week
- Shifts: 8-hour, 12-hour, or mixed shifts (examples: 7am-7pm, 3pm-11pm) with set schedules
- Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Fast-paced, busy facility with high acuity patients
- Department has 8 treatment areas/scanners
- May float between main campus and UC campus (stand-alone ER)
- Mixed patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Imaging includes CTAs, cardiac studies, perfusion, and a variety of other imaging/studies
- Busy OR and ER environment
Required Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) license required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- CT certification preferred
- Must be capable of performing venipuncture
- Must demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a shifting environment
- Self-motivated, team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills
- Driver’s license required at submittal (used to verify candidate location within 50 miles radius)
- Must comply with fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
- Radiation badge provided by client
Experience Requirements
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
- Prefer candidates who can perform both CT and X-ray, especially for overnight shifts
Equipment & Systems
- Siemens imaging equipment
- Bracco contrast injectors
- EMR: EPIC
- PACS: McKesson
Orientation & Additional Notes
- Orientation: 36-40 hours of unit/department-specific training
- Candidates must not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
- Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO approved
- Successful candidates are proactive, able to problem-solve creatively, and willing to stay busy and engaged
