Job Opportunity: PACU RN - D/N Rotating

Job Details

• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 50% Day/Night rotation with up to 2 weekend shifts per month
• Specialty: RN PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Required Experience

• Minimum 3+ years RN experience
• Minimum 1+ year travel experience in PACU
• Minimum 1+ year experience in an Academic Medical Center

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• RN License valid in Massachusetts (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• BLS Certification (AHA preferred)
• N95 Fit Test completed within 365 days prior to start date and updated annually (no onsite fit testing)
• MGB Medication Exam: 80% passing score within 365 days
• Immunizations & Health Requirements:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15), no exemptions allowed
  • TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if >6 month break
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity strongly preferred
  • Tdap vaccine preferred within 10 years and updated upon expiration
• Background Checks & Verifications:

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break
  • Social Security Number trace and education verification required
  • National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start and updated annually
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid) within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Additional Documentation:

  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city & state
  • Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor or above)
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
  • Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance of assignment

Prior Travel Experience

• Required: Must have at least 1 year of travel experience in PACU

Summary

This is a travel RN position in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit requiring a rotating day/night schedule with weekend shifts. Candidates must have significant RN experience, including travel experience in PACU and academic medical center exposure. Comprehensive immunization, health screenings, and background checks are mandatory. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
