Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer - Radiology (Travel)

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Day shift, Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Call: None required
Unit: Fetal Testing Center
Number of Exam Rooms: 6
Staff on Unit: 11 (including 4-5 Sonographers on day shift)
Equipment: GE Voluson 22 and GE Voluson E10
EMR Systems: Meditech, Viewpoint, Sectra

Job Description

Perform maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) ultrasound procedures with a focus on fetal anatomy and cardiac imaging.
Typical procedures include fetal anatomy scans, biophysical profiles (BPP), Doppler studies, fetal echocardiograms, first trimester nuchal screening, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling (CVS).
Ability to proficiently image fetal cardiac structures is required.
Work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist within the last year
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal and High Risk patients
Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Ultrasound experience
Fetal Echocardiography experience or ability to proficiently image fetal cardiac structures
Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience
ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification specific to ultrasound/sonography
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Work Environment & Culture

Dress code: Olive green scrub top with black scrub bottoms
No weekend shifts or call responsibilities
Unit has permanent positions available
Team-oriented atmosphere with experienced staff
